We are told that a restraining order is a "shield"—a civil tool designed to protect the vulnerable from the predatory. But for women who have lived through the reality of being hunted, this "shield" is more often a bayonet, handed by the state to the very men who intend us harm.
I am currently in ongoing, extreme danger. The reason I am standing on a street corner instead of in a secure facility is simple: All men benefit from the economics of female enslavement and the violence that enforces it. Men want women truth tellers dead so their crimes continue unaddressed.
The Patriarchy gives the microscopic man a badge and a title so he can feel "big" by harassing the magnificent. He used his uniform to bridge the gap between his inadequacy and my excellence. He didn't want order; he wanted a "moment" of power over someone infinitely his superior.
The US government is protecting the traffickers of women and children using our own taxes to obliterate us. The evidence is everywhere. It is time we hold our government to account. We will see you in court.
